Restore Hope Foundation

The Restore Hope Foundation has been instrumental in rebuilding the community of Hope Town, Elbow Cay, in the aftermath of Hurricane Dorian, which devastated the island in September 2019. With sustained winds of 185 mph and gusts over 220 mph, the monster storm wreaked havoc on homes, buildings, and natural landscapes. Since then, Restore Hope Foundation has dedicated over $2 million to restore vital infrastructure, including the island’s medical clinic, public restrooms, and the children's playground. The foundation has also played a key role in cleaning up the harbor, removing marine debris and abandoned boats, replanting the island’s landscapes, and rebuilding important community structures like the Burial Society Building and the Hope Town Museum. Through these efforts, and in collaboration with other non-profit organizations, Restore Hope Foundation continues to breathe new life into Hope Town, helping the community recover and thrive.
